#sol17- Day 19/31- March 19, 2017
Tomorrow I travel, so today I prepare. This is what I have done so far today:
- Woke up late (7 is late for me)
- Arranged to meet friends for breakfast at 9.
- Fixed the internet- it keeps going out and has to be restarted often.
- Commented on the newbie crew I am the “welcome wagon” for.
- Read my Facebook feed. Wished one friend a happy birthday.
- Started to look at #tcrwp tweets from yesterday’s Saturday reunion.
- Glanced at the clock to see it was 8:25 and I still needed to shower, dress, and get to the restaurant.
- Made it on time and had a nice breakfast.
- Tried to run into the pet store on the way home to get cat litter, but it was not open.
- Got home and read lots of tweets about the reunion.
- Went to Starbucks to plan ELA for the week after break.
- Started some marking.
- Ran errands for trip- sunscreen, mini toothpaste, body lotion, snacks, US dollars (for visa on arrival in Laos).
- Made it home just before thunder and lightning precedes the afternoon thunderstorm.
- Set alarm for tomorrow morning- flight leaves at 6:45, must leave apartment at 4:15AM!
- Now it is 2:30 and I have to get this post done, so I can continue my to do list (which eventually includes packing).
Tomorrow I travel, so all is well today!
I love to travel, even when preceded with a huge to-do list. Enjoy your break! Have some wonderful adventures!
You accomplished much! My to do list is getting written down and will be getting checked off in two weeks.
Looks like you accomplished a lot, despite the late wakeup! Safe travels in Laos!
Lists can definitely keep us on track. Best of luck traveling.
Sounds like you accomplished so much already! Happy travels. I have that early kind of flight for a summer trip. Early, early!
Safe travels. There is something satisfying about an “Accomplished List” as opposed to a “To Do” list.
I love #11 – we are so alike. I often am in a Starbucks planning. If I sit at home, I’ll be too distracted by all I need to do at home. Safe travels!!
Laos! How exciting! Safe travels.
This looks like one my days before a trip. So many things that seem unrelated to actual travel, but so many things I actually need/want to accomplish before I do.
I’ll be doing the same in about a month when my husband and I will be traveling to Spain. The March Challenge has interfered somewhat with the amount of time I have to spend on reading about the cities we are going to: Madrid, Seville and Barcelona. I don’t mind, though, since I find the experience of writing every day to be important to my new image of myself as a writer. Maybe I’ll even blog from Spain in May.
You are a planner; sounds like everything is under control. Happy trails. Laos is going to be a fascinating place to visit. Please share your impressions with us….
Every travel event begins with a to-do list that at times seems overwhelming. I’ll be dealing with one in the coming weeks, too, but I try to focus on the joy of the actual travel (who knows what fun awaits), the place we’re going, and people we’ll spend time with. Keeping the focus on those positives helps me not to get too stressed by my list. Side note: each time we travel to ski or to the beach or to visit family out of state, I tell myself I should keep a list for that location/type of vacation for the next trip….so that’s what I’m doing this year. Certain items may change a bit, but the basics will remain the same. Enjoy your trip!
There always seems to be loads to do before travelling. Thanks for sharing.
what better way to spend you day! Enjoy the travel.
love “…which eventually includes packing” đŸ™‚ Have a great trip!
I’m looking forward to your posts about Laos! It is on my list of places to visit. Enjoy your trip!

I love making to-do and packing lists! I haven’t had the opportunity to travel much in the past few years (with a toddler) but I will look forward to your posts about Laos! Have a safe flight!
This sounds like how I roll. Necessity is the mother of, not just invention, but packing. Have a great trip!
Have a wonderful trip! Laos looks like a beautiful place.
Laos! Wow, that is amazing! I wish you a safe trip and hope to hear about Laos.
