I have almost always known I wanted to be a teacher. I credit my second grade PE class. For whatever reason I really did not like PE that year and without fail before PE I would develop a fever. My mom was working as a nursery school teacher at that point, and she knew that I was not really sick, so I got to go help out at The Barn. I have been teaching since 1985 (with 7 years off to be home with my sons). I currently teach third grade at an international school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I LOVE my job and see my main job as passing on a love of reading.
